OakesMuir Bashkir Curly Horses

The training approach used at Oakesmuir Farm follows the natural horsemanship philosophy. Natural horsemanship is designed to help see into the horse's mind and to start understanding its view of the world. The horseman learns to understand and use the fundamental building blocks of the horse's system of learning. This can then be applied to whatever discipline or exercises one chooses. Natural horsemanship examines how horses communicate with each other, how they interpret our behaviour towards them, how humans unwittingly cause confusion by giving the horse conflicting signals, and how horsemen can recognize and correct this in order to get the response required.

All Oakesmuir Bashkir Curly horses are trained using the natural horsemanship approach, and the results will be obvious once you work with our horses.
